The Directors of the Centre for International Competitiveness are:
Professor Robert Huggins – Robert is Professor of Economic Geography at the School of Planning and Geography, Cardiff University, and is Director of its Centre for Economic Geography. Robert is the co-founder, along with Hiro Izushi, of the World Knowledge Competitiveness Index, and is the founder on the European Competitiveness Index and the UK Competitiveness Index. His key areas of research include the study of competitiveness, business networks, knowledge-based economic development and entrepreneurship. More Details..

Dr Hiro Izushi – Hiro is Senior Lecturer in Innovation at Economics and Strategy Group, Aston Business School at Birmingham, UK. Originally trained in the US at University of California, Berkeley for his doctoral degree, Hiro also holds a prestigious Nitobe Fellowship for Japanese Social Scientists from International House of Japan. While teaching management of innovation at the AMBA, AACSB and EQUIS-accredited Aston Business School, Hiro researches into a number of areas including knowledge-based economic growth, knowledge sourcing and business networks, and the video game industry and its evolution.
